Default MM in Sorrows Furnace

After going to SF as everything for 5 man except MM, I decided im gonna try MM. My question is, what minions do I use? Most of the time I see all fiends with some horrors, sometimes lots of horrors, etc. What ones are best to use?

if you ever find yourself in a situation such asmyself and are having down times between summing fiends and horrors, use minions, i normally get in

fiends-horror-minions-fiends-horror (maybe get lucky and have the recharge rate increased) - fiends

You haven't done everything until you've been a mesmer gear holder Definitely more fun (and alot more effective) than your average wammo.

I have an expierenced MM and he runs SF and Thirsty and all that. The best choice is to bring Fiends, and Horrors, use a mix, doesnt have to be exactly 50 50. but try to get some tanks(horrors) with some range support(fiends) i wouldnt reccomend minions because they come out as level 14, and running sf the mm is the main source of damage. level 14s die quicker, and do less damage, even though 2 are summoned at once.

I usually see Fiends and Horrors, but more Fiends than Horrors. In SF, Tanks don't matter as much, as you got the Gear Stance Tank, so I would go Fiends. The AI seem to target minions (in general) first though. By the way, are Fiends stronger than Horrors? I have it as a fact stuck in my head...

BTW, you want to get the corpses before the Summit Dark Binders (right?) do, as they cast Well of Suffering, which is not good news for your minions.

I recommend Fiends for SF... with a stance tank and a necro casting Spiteful Spirit, what the team really needs is damage dealers rather than additional tanks, and because Fiends are ranged they tend to last longer since they aren't receiving damage. Certainly one wants to get to the corpses before the Dark Binders and other necro-types do, and when one is below 25 energy it's tempting to raise a Horror instead; however, at only 5 energy it's more cost effective to simply use Putrid Explosion to quickly get rid of excess corpses. Lately I've been carrying Necrotic Transversal to eliminate stray corpses as it's cheap, fast and spreads poison. My two cents.

Mostly Fiends, and a few Horrors while Fiends is recharging. Its nice to have the ability to switch to mostly Horrors just in case the warrior quits. And while Horrors dont put out the damage that Fiends do, they do provide some extra targets in case any enemies dont latch on to the warrior.

Fiends and Fiends alone. Horrors is a wasted slot on my bar which coul be saved for so much better things.

Who needs horrors anyway, or other players?

Fiends. Raise horrors only when waiting for fiends to recharge. Read somewhere that they both do same damage but fiends have faster attack speed. Both have same health but horrors have more armor.

Fiends can be idiots also, and try to shoot through walls.

I try to keep a 3/1 ratio of Fiends/Horrors. At the beginning of a battle, raise only Fiends, then when lots of bodies start dropping raise both equally, then at the end of the battle switch back to Fiends only.

I honestly can't see any reason to have a third minion skill. The only time you're gonna need it is when you are at that bit when there is 3 massive mobs of dredge at that stone staircase
